a) Session cookies

We use so-called cookies on our Internet website. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies which are filed and stored on your terminal by the Internet browser you use. With these cookies, certain parts of your information, for example, your browser or site data or your IP address, is processed to an individual extent.

This processing makes our Internet website more user-friendly, effective and safer since this processing facilitates, e.g., the reproduction of our Internet website in different languages or the offer of a shopping basket function.

The legal basis of this processing is Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit b.) GDPR if these cookies are processed for contract initiation or contract performance.

If processing does not serve the contract initiation or contract performance, our legitimate interest is the improvement of the functionality of our Internet website. The legal bases is then Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit. f) GSPR.

As you close your Internet browser, these session cookies are erased.

b) Cookies of third-party providers

Cookies of partner enterprises with which we co-operate for purposes of advertising, analysis or the functionalities of our Internet website may possibly also be used with our Internet website.

Please take details in this respect, in particular, concerning the purposes and legal basis of processing of such third-party provider cookies from the following information.

However, in case of so-called flash cookies, processing cannot be disabled by browser settings. Insofar, you have to change the setting of your flash player instead. The steps and measures required in this respect also depend on the flash player you actually use. In case of any queries, please also use the help function or documentation of your flash player or contact the manufacturer or user support.

The data transmitted by you to make use of our goods and services on offer are processed by us for purposes of contract processing and are insofar required. Contract conclusion and contract processing are not possible without the provision of your data.

The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit. b) GDPR.

We erase the data upon the completion of contract processing but have to observe the period of record preservation according to tax and commercial law in this respect.

Within the scope of contract processing, we transfer your data to the forwarder assigned to deliver the goods or to the financial service provider as far as the transfer is required for the delivery of goods or for proposes of payment.

The legal basis for the transfer of data is then Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit. b) GDPR.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our Internet website. This concerns a web analysis service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, subsequently referred to as “Google“.

Google guarantees by the certification according to the EU-US Privacy Shield

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

that the data protection specifications of the EU are also met when data is processed in the USA.

Google Analytics serves the analysis of the user behaviour of our Internet website. The legal basis is Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the analysis, optimisation and the economically efficient operation of our Internet website.

Utilisation and user-related information, e.g., IP address, place, time or frequency of visiting our Internet website are transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, we use Google Analytics with the so-called anonymisation function. With this function, Google abbreviates the IP address already within the EU or the EEA.

Google, in turn, uses the data collected in this way to provide us with an analysis of the visits of our Internet website as well as the user activities taking place in it. This data can also be used to render further services in connection with the use of our Internet website and the use of the Internet.

Google states that it does not link your IP address to other data. In addition, Google provides further information on data protection law for you under

https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners

e.g. also concerning the possibilities of disabling the use of data.

In addition, Google offers a so-called deactivation add-on plus further information in this respect under

https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

This add-on can be installed with common Internet browsers and offers you further control options concerning the data which Google acquires as you call up our Internet website. The add-on informs JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics that information concerning the visit of our Internet website is not to be transferred to Google Analytics. However, this does not prevent that information is transferred to us or other web analysis services. Whether any and which further web analysis services are used by us, is, of course, also stated in this privacy notice.

Google Maps

On our Internet website, we use Google Maps to show our site as well as to prepare directions how to find us. This concerns a service of Google, subsequently referred to as “Google”.

Google guarantees by the certification according to the EU-US Privacy Shield

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

that the data protection specifications of the EU are also met when data is processed in the USA.

In order to facilitate the representation of certain fonts on our Internet website, a connection is established to the Google server in the USA as our Internet website is called up.

If you call up the component of Google Maps integrated in our Internet website, Google stores a cookie in your terminal via your Internet browser. In order to show our site and to prepare directions how to find us, your user settings and data are processed. In this respect, we cannot exclude that Google uses servers in the USA.

The legal basis is Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the optimisation of the functionality of our Internet website.

Google uses the connection thus established to Google to determine from which website your inquiry has been sent and to which IP address the directions to our location are to be sent.

If you do not agree to such processing, you have the possibility of preventing the installation of cookies by respective settings in your Internet browser. The Item of “Cookies” above states details in this respect.

In addition, Google Maps and the information obtained via Google Maps are used according to the Google terms of use https://policies.google.com/terms?gl=DE&hl=de and the terms and conditions of business for Google Maps https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html.

Moreover, Google offers further information under

We use Google reCAPTCHA on our Internet website to verify and avoid interactions on our Internet page by automated accesses, e.g., by so-called bots. This concerns a service of Google.

Google guarantees by the certification according to the EU-US Privacy Shield

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

that the data protection specifications of the EU are also met when data is processed in the USA.

With this service, Google can determine from which web page an inquiry is sent as well as from which IP address you use the so-called reCAPTCHA input box. Apart from your IP address, further information is possibly acquired by Google which is required for the offer and safeguarding this service.

The legal basis is Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the safety of our Internet website as well as the defence against unwanted automated accesses in form of spam or similar matters.

Google offers further information concerning the general handling of your user data under

https://policies.google.com/privacy

Google Fonts

We use Google Fonts on our Internet website to represent external fonts. This concerns a service of Google.

Google guarantees by the certification according to the EU-US Privacy Shield

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

that the data protection specifications of the EU are also met when data is processed in the USA.

In order to facilitate the representation of certain fonts on our Internet website, a connection to the Google server in the USA is established as our Internet website is called up.

The legal basis is Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the optimisation and the economically efficient operation of our Internet website.

Using the connection to Google established by calling up our Internet website, Google can determine from which website your inquiry has been sent and to which IP address the representation of the font is to be transferred.

Google offers further information under

https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated

https://policies.google.com/privacy

namely and particularly concerning the possibilities of disabling data utilisation.

Facebook

We use the plug-in of the Facebook social network on our Internet website. Facebook is an Internet service of facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. In the EU, this service is operated, in turn, by Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland, subsequently both referred to as “Facebook”.

Facebook guarantees by the certification according to the EU-US Privacy Shield

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active

that the data protection specifications of the EU are also met when data is processed in the USA.

The legal basis is Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the improvement of the quality of our Internet website.

Facebook has further information concerning possible plug-ins as well as their respective functions available for you under

https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

If the plug-in is stored on one of the pages of our Internet website visited by you, your Internet browser will download a representation of the plug-in from the servers of Facebook in the USA. For technical reasons, it is necessary that Facebook processes your IP address. Apart from this, date and time of the visit of our Internet pages are also recorded.

If you are logged into Facebook while visiting one of our Internet pages having the plug-in, the information of your actual visit collected by the plug-in is recognised by Facebook. Facebook possibly allocates the information thus collected to your personal user account there. If you, for example, use the so-called “Like” button of Facebook, this information is stored in your Facebook user account and possibly published via the Facebook platform. If you intend to prevent this, you either have to log out from Facebook prior to your visit of our Internet website or block loading of the Facebook plug-in by using an add-on for your Internet browser.

Further information concerning the collection and utilisation of data as well as your rights and protection options in this respect makes Facebook available in the retrievable data protection notice under

https://www.facebook.com/policy.php

YouTube

We use YouTube on our Internet website. This concerns a video portal of YouTube LLC., 901 Cherry Ave., 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, subsequently referred to as “YouTube”.

YouTube is a subsidiary of Google LLC., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, subsequently referred to as “Google”.

Google and thus also the subsidiary YouTube guarantees by the certification according to the EU-US Privacy Shield

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

that the data protection specifications of the EU are also met when data is processed in the USA.

We use YouTube in connection with the function “Extended data protection mode” to enable us to show you videos. The legal basis is Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is in the improvement of the quality of our Internet website. According to YouTube’s information, the function “Extended data protection mode” causes that the data subsequently described in more detail are only transmitted to the server of YouTube, if you actually start a video.

Without this “Extended data protection”, a connection to the server of YouTube in the USA is established as soon as you call up one of our Internet pages on which a YouTube video is embedded.

This connection is required to represent the respective video on our Internet page via your Internet browser. In the course of this operation, YouTube will acquire and process at least your IP address, the date and time as well as the Internet page visited by you. In addition, a connection to the advertising network “DoubleClick” of Google is established.

Should you be logged into YouTube at the same time, YouTube allocates the information concerning the connection to your YouTube account. If you intend to prevent this, you must either log out of YouTube prior to visiting our Internet website or effect the respective settings in your YouTube user account.

For purposes of functionality as well as analysis of user behaviour, YouTube stores permanently cookies on your terminal via your Internet browser. If you do not agree to such processing, you have the possibility to prevent storing of cookies by a setting in your Internet browser. You find more detailed information in this respect under “Cookies” above.

The legal basis for such processing is also Sec. 26 paragraph 1 s. 1 Federal Data Protection Act in combination with Art. 88 paragraph 1 GDPR.

If an application is rejected, we automatically erase the data transmitted to us two months after the announcement of rejection. However, the erasure is not effected, if the data requires longer storage of up to four months or up to the conclusion of court proceedings due to legal provisions, e.g., the burden of proof according to the General Equality Act.

In this case, the legal basis is Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit. f) GDPR and Sec. 24 paragraph 1 No. 2 Federal Data Protection Act. Our legitimate interest is the legal defence or enforcement.

If you explicitly consent to longer storage of your data, e.g., for an entry in an applicant or prospect database, the data is processed further because of your consent. The legal basis is then Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit. a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent, of course, at any time according to Art. 7 paragraph 3 GDPR by a declaration to us with future effect.
